On 15 July 2021 I was invited by the Westpac Group Customer Care Leadership Team to talk about leading generational diversity in the dynamic work environment. Although it is important to recognize the generational differences, we cannot ignore the fact that every generation could be "generation me" when people are still young and developing themselves. It is leaders' responsibility to nurture and guide their followers. Plus, the foundation of leadership is power and social influence, and it is also essential for leaders to be aware of their own power bases in organizations in order to amplify their influences. Finally, we discuss how leaders look after themselves to avoid possible leadership burnout. I really enjoy the discussion and look forward to catching up with the team next time.
